Warranty and Lost Ring Program


Standard Option and Ring Finish Warranty:
Herff Jones stands behind each ring we sell. Each of the custom features of your ring are carefully and skillfully crafted. Our high standards are your assurance of lasting satisfaction. Your ring, given reasonable care, will endure for a lifetime. Herff Jones fully warrants the ring to be free from defects in workmanship for the lifetime of the ring. If the
ring cannot be repaired or replaced, a refund will be allowed.

Special Stealth Finish and Brass Finish Ring Limited to 2 year warranty:

One (1) resize is included from date of shipment at no charge until graduation June 2020. Additional resize will incur charges as special finish requires new ring manufacturing.
Cover any defects in material or workmanship as other finish rings.
Original Stealth or Brass finish is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of shipment against defects.

Herff Jones Limited Lifetime Warranty becomes void if any adjustment is performed by any jeweler other than Herff Jones.

Care & Cleaning:
To preserve the beauty and lustre of your ring, clean it with mild detergent in lukewarm water and then rinse. Dry with a soft cloth. Do not use a brush, sharp instrument or rough cloths for cleaning. Avoid contact with mercury or other harsh acids as they will permanently discolor your ring.

Your ring is entered into production upon receipt with the required deposit/manufacturing fee. You have 3 business days for any changes to your order. After the 3 business days a $25 change fee will apply. Please email change requests to jpquirk@herffjones.com including your order number, email address, name and requested change. You will be contacted for collection of fee if applicable.

Payment Options, Agreements & Delivery
Payment in full:
You may pay for your order in full with a check, money order, credit card or debit card.

4 or 6 Month Credit Card Payment Plan:
According to the following terms, I agree to purchase a college ring through the Herff Jones Credit Card Payment Plan. I understand that upon submission of my order Herff Jones will charge one fourth (1/4) or one sixth (1/6) of my total balance due (including tax) to my credit card. I agree to pay the remaining balance in three or five equal, automated, consecutive monthly payments thereafter. I agree that the credit/debit card designated for automatic recurring monthly payments to Herff Jones is and will continue to be an account I control. I will maintain sufficient availability below the credit card limit or sufficient funds in the account linked to the debit card, as applicable, to pay the monthly amount due. If a debit card is used to make payments, neither Herff Jones nor its independent sales professionals will be responsible for any non-sufficient funds (NSF) fees I incur. If I close the credit or debit card account before my payments are complete, it is my responsibility to contact Herff Jones and make other payment arrangements.
Deferred Payment Plan:
According to the terms, a minimum $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to process your order. Your balance must be paid in full no later than 15 days before the delivery event in order to receive your ring at the event. You may phone in your payment to customer service at 1.800.837.4235. You will be required to pay the remaining balance in full prior to the shipment of your custom order.

Lost Ring Policy:
Our Lost Ring Policy (LRP) is designed to make replacing a ring as painless as possible, in the event of loss or theft. Herff Jones will create a duplicate of the lost ring. Your one time replacement ring will require a $100 deductible plus shipping and handling and applicable taxes paid in full at the time of the replacement order.

This program is in effect for five (5) years from the date of purchase.

Companion ring orders and accessories are not covered under this LRP program. Right to Cancel Statement:
You have three (3) business days after placing your order to cancel. All cancellations received during this period will be refunded in the same manner in which it was paid. Cancellation of your ring order after this period will result in the forfeit of a minimum $50.00 non-refundable deposit/manufacturing fee. Cancellation of payment plans will result in an additional $40.00 administrative fee forfeiture.

Failure to Graduate:
In the event that a student fails to graduate or changes class year from MIT, Herff Jones will allow the student to return their ring for a full refund.

Upon fulfillment of your payment obligations (as outlined above) and manufacturing of your ring, your order will ship to our sales representative for delivery at your ring event. All orders not delivered at will ship via USPS for street address or PO boxes and APO boxes.

We can ship to select international countries. The order must be paid in full prior to shipping. We MUST have the recipient’s full name, the international physical address (no post office boxes) and international phone number. Delivery charges will vary when shipping to another country. Recipients are responsible for all postage, duties and taxes.
